Our Curriculum

Through a play-based curriculum, our teachers plan activities based on children’s individual needs and interests, and developmental ages and stages. Classroom environments are set-up to provide opportunities for quiet and active play, small and large group projects, and access to a variety of materials and equipment that promote learning in all areas of development. We design our curriculum to allow for children to explore and learn at their own pace while also engaging in activities that encourage them to grow to the next level. Children of all ages go outside daily and use our fenced in playground as well as go on neighborhood walks. Using the Vermont Early Learning Standards (VELS) to guide our program, teachers ensure children are successful in all areas of learning as they promote:

  • social skills
  • positive self-concepts
  • language, literacy, math, and science concepts
  • physical development
  • sound health, safe, and nutritional practices
  • creative expression and appreciation for the arts
